“To keep him still during the haircut, I take him to a hair salon right after a nap and take a cup of milk as well. I ask the barber to do the haircut before my kid finishes the milk. It works perfectly for me.”
Another good option is to get the haircut done while the kid is sleeping. All you need to ensure is that planning the haircut while he or she is sleeping for a long time (maybe at night). This trick works perfectly if you can call the barber at your home.
Find a distraction
A brilliant trick told by a mother is to put various stickers all over the gown and ask your kid to remove them, when the barber starts the cutting. It will distract the kid and become easy to cut his hairs.
For the kids who like to play with water, you can plan the haircut while they are playing in their tub. Place few toys in the tub as well, so the kid will remain busy in his/her activity until the haircut is done.

Give them something special
Sometimes you were going to gift a tricycle or anything special to your kid. Take your kid for a haircut and tell him or her that you will buy the tricycle once the haircut is done. You can offer something else like taking them to a particular place where they like to go.
Similar to this, you can offer them a lollypop or one of their favorite snacks during the haircut, which will make the job easy for sure.
At the end, try to learn the weak links of your kid and use them as a tool. There are few specific tricks for every kid through he or she agrees to accept a particular thing. Find those tricks and then use them during a haircut.
Don’t try to force or beat your kid if she is screaming and not allowing the barber to cut his or her hairs. There is a possibility that he has a problem processing sensory input. If your kid completely refuses the haircut, you might need to fix a meeting with your therapist. When all the techniques fail, it might be a psychological issue that needs to be treated in the right manner.
